Assalaamu alaykum dear Sisters,
Alhamdulillah for the month of June.
As some of you already know, we are now sponsoring our forth orphan, this time from Sudan.
I am waiting for all the details and will add the basic details on here as soon as they arrive.
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said:
"I and the person who looks after an orphan will be in Paradise together like this..." - then he raised his forefinger and middle finger together. (Hadith Bukhari)
Yesterday 2nd July I sent the sadaqa for the two families in Morocco, we are giving them a monthly income to pay for medication.
Also to the sister in Gaza to help support her and her family, as you know she has cancer, and has two children to support.
A small portion will go to Solace for Revert Sisters in Difficulty.
And finally we give a small amount to a child in India with a serious blood disorder.
The above recipients are our monthly commitments, so we always fulfil their needs first, then, whatever funds are remaining gets divided to others who are in dire need.
Subhan'Allah, as we all know, the atrocities in Syria are getting worse by the day. Unimaginable things are happening to so many of our brothers, sisters and children.
I don't wish to post any pictures of the horrific scenes but this house below is a stark reality of what was once, a family home.
Imagine sitting in your home with your family, in burst a group of ''men'' (I use the term 'men' loosely), they rape the women, kill the children and torture the men. These are just some of the degrading things that our brothers and sisters are going through everyday.
Yes, we watch the news, we feel sad, we make dua, then some of us sit back in our comfy sofas, watching our widescreen tv's and forget!!!
Forget that all the while we are enjoying food warmth and comfort, this is happening to our brothers and sisters.
Remember:"He who relieves a hardship of this Dunya (this earthly life)
for a believer, Allah will relieve a hardship of the Day ofResurrection for him; he who makes it easy for an indebted
person, Allah will make it easy for him in the Dunya and
the Hereafter; he who covers a Muslim (his mistakes and
shortcomings), Allah will cover him in the Dunya and
the Hereafter; Allah will be in the slave 's need, as long as
the slave is in his (believing) brother's need…" [Saheeh Muslim]
How can we, as an Ummah not do more to help those who need us.
We have set aside some of the sadaqa for June to give to a trusted sister who will ensure your donations really do reach those who need it.
There is a donate button at the top of this blog, should you wish to donate. The more we collect, the more we can do Insha'Allah.
Please do give and share this blog also fi sabil Illah to raise more awareness of the needs of so many.
I am intending to open another Just Giving page before Ramadhan Insha'Allah. This will be in support of Ummah Welfare Trust Syria Project. This will ensure that your donations will go directly to Ummah Welfare trust for the said project.
lastly, I have personally pledged to lose weight in support of Ummah Welfare Trust for their 'Feed a Million in Ramadhan' project. Alhamdulillah we raised £514 (part of this was from our sadaqa collection) in one week which is enough so far for 10 food packs. I will now open this new page for the purpose of their Syria Project only as I feel this is a much needed fund also.

And establish prayer and give zakah, and whatever good you put forward for yourselves - you will find it with Allah. Indeed, Allah of what you do, is Seeing. 2:110
And your reward is with Allah (Subhanhu wata ala)
