No recourse to public funds. have you heard about this, and if so, could you manage with no income?

All Praise is for Allah (SWT), without His many blessings this would not be possible.

Alhamdulillah the month of April has been an amazing and beneficial month Subhan'Allah.

As per usual we have covered the outgoings for the regular sponsors ie: two of our three Orphans, 5 E-Jazaah students, two families in Morocco and the child in India with a serious blood disorder.

With the permission of Allah (SWT) we also managed to gather enough to help a sister in the Uk who has no recourse to Public funds. This obviously means that, even though she is allowed to stay in the UK, she cannot claim any benefit or be able to work etc.
The sister has two children and her Husband is in prison at the moment so you can imagine just how difficult this must be for all of them.

Alhamdulillah she is able to stay with a sister at the moment but is not able to contribute to any basic needs.

We have supplied enough for her basic needs food wise and also raised £140 which has now risen to £290 Alhamdulillah, just to help her get through for a while, without having to rely on anyone else as much as possible.

This will be an ongoing need for as long as possible so should anyone like to donate then please continue to do so fi sabil Illah via Paypal to mekkaouis@yahoo.com with refernce NRPFunds.

Another very worthy project is a new one to us but is also an ongoing need.

11 year old Rahma has an S shaped spine.

As you can see this is a very sad situation which needs to be addressed to help Rahma straighten her spine and be able to walk straight Insha'Allah.

You can either donate to us and we will pass it to them or you can pay directly to the hospital Insha'Allah

You can visit and like Rahma's fundraising page at

Please do visit and share with your contacts fi sabil Illah.

a) contact Kerry Poole or Michal Michalik from the Finance Department of the Birmingham Hospital on 0121 6854062;

b) give them RAHMA RERIBALLAH’s name;

c) choose either to donate with your bank card or by sending a cheque directly to the hospital, payable to "THE ROYAL ORTHOPAEDIC HOSPITAL NHS FOUNDATION TRUST" at the below shown address. Please don’t forget to put the reference "RAHMA RERIBALLAH DoB 01/10/1999", as well as your name and phone number on the back of your cheque, in order to contact you in case there is a problem with it.

We also sent a £50 donation to two families in Gaza.
One is a single Mother with a handicapped daughter and the other family are facing such hardships also.

Another £50 was sent yesterday to be distributed to the most needy they can find possible.

The monies set aside for the two families in Morocco will be sent this week bi ihdnIllah.
as you know, both sisters are now able to pay for much needed monthly medication without the worry of where they will get enough money to buy this as  before Alhamdulillah.

Masha'Allah we were fortunate to be able to send a small amount to the Albania masjid Build Project below

Some of the payments coming in at the end of the month, a small portion will go to www.solaceuk.org
A much needed organisation helping reverts in difficulty.

Anyone reading this can donate directly to solace via http://solaceuk.org/index.php/donate-to-solace

Being a revert myself Masha'Allah I can honestly say that this organisation is a blessing from Allah (SWT)

Lastly, should we have any amount left, even it's only a few pounds, please be assured that it will be invested in our future.
We try to divide each months sadaqa as much as possible so that we can all benefit from the rewards.
it's our intention that matters, not how much we give.

A dear friend of mine is sponsoring an orphan and is trying to raise money to buy a fridge and a bed for them so we gave a small portion of sadaqa to the sister.

Our projects may be small but with Allah's Barakah only he knows how big it will be at a time when we will need every good deed possible and more. When we wished we had given to everyone who asked us.
£1 a week is all you need to give to support so many for so little Subhan'Allah...x

And as for man, when his Lord tries him and [thus] is generous to him and favors him, he says, "My Lord has honored me."

But when He tries him and restricts his provision, he says, "My Lord has humiliated me."

No! But you do not honor the orphan

And you do not encourage one another to feed the poor.

And you consume inheritance, devouring [it] altogether,

And you love wealth with immense love.

No! When the earth has been leveled - pounded and crushed -

And your Lord has come and the angels, rank upon rank,

And brought [within view], that Day, is Hell - that Day, man will remember, but what good to him will be the remembrance? Surah Al-Fajr 89:15-23.

Seeking 10 special sisters asap

Update 21st May 2012.

Alhamdulillah we done our first boot sale on Sunday.
Although it was very quiet we managed to raise £80 so this will be added to the other funds we have set aside for the sisters treatment Insha'Allah.

We will also try to do other mini fundraisers in the near future. Anyone able to contribute by doing a fundraiser on our behalf then please do fi sabil Illah.
Below are just a few pictures of the boot sale.

Subhan'Allah as soon as we pulled up people were gathering around the car peering in to see what you have and as much as we fried to keep things in an orderly fashion, no chance lol, they just came and wrecked everything and left. Alhamdulillah it was a great experience though.

Update 14th May 2012.
Jazaki'Allahu Khairan to everyone who either joined us or encouraged others to join us fi sabil Illah.
We now have those 10 extra sisters to help us on a monthly basis Insha'Allah.

With your kindness we have now been given the opportunity of sponsoring a family in Gaza.

The sister is in her 20's and is married with young children,
She is facing a huge test, with being diagnosed with cancer.

We have enough sisters to support this family on a monthly basis but would like to also support her treatment as much a s possible.

In order to receive the treatment that is needed, they have to travel to Jordan each time which, you can imagine would add to the stress and strain of having cancer and not being able to get the treatment in your own City, let alone Country.

Alhamdulillah that we are fortunate to have free hospitals, healthcare and everything we need, but some of us still complain about the many, many blessing's Allah has given us.

When we learn about other peoples situations we should use it as a tool to repent, return to Allah and be sincere in our actions.

Being diagnosed with cancer is a huge test as the treatment itself is so, so difficult, and it's not only the individual who is tested, this follows on to the whole family. How they react to the news, how patient they can be, how much support they can offer/need, or in some cases they leave the spouse as they cannot deal with Allah's decree.

We should thank Allah everyday for firstly, blessing us with His beautiful deen and also for our health, our wealth and every breath we are blessed with.

Please continue to support us with your donations for Allah's sake alone, whom without His Permission and Mercy then none of this project would be possible.

When it comes to my provisions, I rely upon Allah, my Creator
And I know with certainty that He will no doubt provide for me.
Whatever's in my due, will not pass me by,
Even if it were to be in the depths of the sea.
Allah the Exalted will bring it forth by His Grace,
Even if I were to remain silent over it.
So, what can a soul feel sorrow over,
When the Most Merciful has set the provisions of the creation.
- Imam ash-Shaafi'ee.

Updated 26th April...

Assalaamu alaykum,

All praise is for Allah  alone, without His permission none of this would be possible.

Masha'Allah Tabarak'Allah we have exceeded the 10 sisters needed Subhan'Allah , this will enable us to do that little bit more for someone else as well Insha'Allah.
Until we secure a family to support on a monthly basis we were able to give two families temporary relief as two sisters donated £50.
£25 to us may seem like peanuts as we are so used to spending and wasting so much money on things that we don't tend to need, just want.
These people don't have any choice and any help we can give is helping them with things we may take for granted.
There is still plenty of room for more sisters to join us as the more we have the more we can give fi sabil Illah.
Just thank Allah  every day, firstly for guiding us, secondly for blessing us with so much and thirdly for being in a position to give and not be of those who have to take.
I ask and thank Allah  every day for guiding us to His beautiful deen and that He accept the little that we are doing for His sake alone.

Update.. 11 April 2012....

Masha'Allah, Tabark'Allah only 4 more sisters needed to facilitate the needs of these families fi sabil Illah.

jazaki'Allahu Khairan to all the sisters who have joined us and all the sisters who are striving to encourage others to good for Allah's sake alone.

May Allah accept it from all of us and may it weigh heavy on our scales. May we be the blessed ones who will be honoured to see the face of our only Creator Allah . Ameen....x

Assalaamu alaykum,

When you wake up, do you thank Allah for everything He has blessed you with, every breath that you breath and every step you take is only given to you by Allah .

Below is a video (In Arabic) but even if (like me) you don't understand much, the pictures alone will break your heart.

By joining us at Al-Huriyah for just £1 a week donation, this can give us the chance to find and fund children in these dire situations.

How can we be content with spending 100's of pounds on improving our home when all over the world there are countless families in such dire circumstances that it is unimaginable how difficult it must be Subhan'Allah.

There are countless charities and organisations out there doing a lot for the community but what makes us  unique is that we ask you for no more than £1 a week.
We are a group of sisters striving to please Allah alone and are very passionate about helping our brothers and sisters.

Please join us on this journey as we are in talks with a brother who can help us in Gaza to support a family in desperate need and I have also emailed Al-Rahma Tv to enquire how we are able to sponsor one of the families in Egypt from the video Insha'Allah.
The average family is Gaza can survive on approximately $100 which is around £63 a month.
So we are asking 10 sisters to join us and donate £1 a week  . This will generate £40 a month and we will add the other £23 a month Insha'Allah.

Not only will your donation earn you reward for the above but also for helping us to sponsor three orphans, five E-jaazah students and a child with a serious blood disorder in India, two needy families in Morocco besides many other small projects Masha'Allah.

Only Allah  can give us the permission to do this but we need more supporters like yourselves to be able to continue with the support that so many need.

All I ask is that you open your purse just once a week and take out £1. Put this aside and donate the £4 a month. What could be easier.

I didn't post the video below to make anyone feel guilty but honestly, when you see how these poor children are suffering it must inspire you to do something fi sabil Illah.

Even if it doesn't inspire you to join us, get up and do the same thing for yourself.
Give to those in need before you, yourself become in need. None of us are safe from harm and poverty.

We are in a drought situation in the UK at the moment but do you really care. Is our drought as serious as the droughts in Somalia or are you just upset that you may have to cut down on using the dishwasher....

Lets wake up and smell the true reality of poverty and give relief to those who need/deserve it

Surely these children in Egypt deserve more than this. Our time in this life is precious, but what are we doing to fill it?

And give good tidings to those who believe and do righteous deeds that they will have gardens [in Paradise] beneath which rivers flow. Whenever they are provided with a provision of fruit therefrom, they will say, "This is what we were provided with before." And it is given to them in likeness. And they will have therein purified spouses, and they will abide therein eternally. 2:25...x

Urgent appeal please help fi sabil Illah...x

Inna Lilaahi wa inna ilayhi rajioon,

Please make special dua for sister Farida and family. Sadly, Farida returned to Allah last night in her home town of Mombasa. As you all know, she had part of her leg amputated a few months back, she never fully recovered although I don't know exactly what the cause of her death was I will update if I have any news Insha'Allah. Although I didn't know Farida personally, the  sister  who approached us to fund raise is a dear friend of mine and a grew up with the family.
May Allah forgive Farida for any sins, make her illness a purification, and raise her to the highest Jannah Firdous. Please remember her family in your duas too that they be patient and understanding at Allah The Most High's decree. Ameen

Assalaamu alaykum,

URGENT UPDATE: 26 June 2012.

I just had the news that sister Farida has been rushed to hospital and is in ICU at the moment.
She never fully recovered from the amputation op and is  in a bad way and is in need of our duas, for her and her family.
Please do make sincere dua that Allah cures her, gives her and her family sabr and may this be a means of purification. Ameen.

I will keep you posted as and when I get any more news Insha'Allah

15th April.

Alhamdulillah Farida has now been discharged from hospital and is now recovering well at home.

Update 13th April...

I have received this picture from sister Farida's family. Alhamdulillah as you know she has had the operation and is in recovery, waiting to go home Insha'Allah.
Jazaki'Allahu Khairan to all who donated to her need fi sabil Illah. please remember her in you duas as she now has to adapt to using just one leg and this will take a lot of patience and practice.

Assalaamu alaykum,

Update 8th April.

Masha'Allah, Tabark'Allah, we have so far raised £555 towards Sr Faridas operation. She had a shortfall of £800 to pay so we are nearly close to clearing her debt Subhan'Allah.
At least that will be one less pressure for her to bear.
With the trauma of losing her foot and knowing that she had an £800 debt to pay, this is one of the amazing things about sisterhood.
Although our sister is all the way in Kenya and most of you do not know her, we have the bond that is Islam that brings us together when one of our sisters are in need.
Allah is truly The Most Merciful and without His permission this would not be possible.

This is a text message that I received this morning from her daughter....

Dear sisters in Islam. On behalf of my Mum, myself and my family, I am grateful and wish to thank you all from the bottom of my heart all help rendered, by words or in kind to my family in this time of need, by helping with the operation for my Mum which has been done. My Mum's left foot has been amputated and the operation has been successful  by the grace of Allah and in return I offer to you all with the sunnat supplication: ''Baraka llahu lakunna fee ahlikunna wa maalikunna'' (May Allah bless you all, your families and your wealth), and may Allah answer all your duas as long as we do not associate partners with Him and may He alleviate all your problems big or small Ameen.
Insha'Allah I will keep informing you on her progress.
Jazaki'Allahu Khairan
Sister Khurshid (Daughter of Farida).

Subhan'Allah, this is a beautiful text from the heart of our dear sister.
May Allah give Farida complete cure, may she have sabr at this very testing time and may he reward you all with the best in this life and the next for facilitating the need of our sister in Islam.
Have a blessed day  fi sabil Illah.
May Allah continue to put His barakah into this project and gives us the means and the ability to help so many more of our brothers and sisters.
Ameen

Update 6 April.

Alhamdulillah sister Farida has know had the operation to remove her foot just below the knee.
Please remember her in your duas as she is very distressed and in a huge amount of pain.
Alhamdulillah because of your kind donations of £415 in total this will at least take some of the burden of debt away from them Insha'Allah.

Jazaki'Allahu Khairan to all of you for thinking of her and remembering her in your sincere duas and may it be a purification for her and a reward for her and all of us. Ameen

Update 5th April 2012...

Somayya...x

I have an urgent appeal from a very dear sister I know who is trying to raise funds for a sister in Kenya. She has liver failure and now has gangrene in her foot. They are waiting for the foot to be amputated as soon as possible but are in need of funds to make this possible.

Should you be in a position to help with any amount no matter how small then please donate via Paypal to mekkaouis@yahoo.com. Please use Kenya as the reference.

Or you can email me for other options to donate Insha'Allah.

I'm sorry to have to attach this picture to the blog but this is the sisters foot and you can see the urgent need for treatment.

Please remember, we do this for Allah's sake alone. He is the only one who can accept our humble efforts and only He can give us permission to help those in need.
This beautiful Hadith is an example of Allah's Mercy on the believers.
May we always have this bond of Islam and should you not be in a position to donate then please remember the sister in you duas.

Jazaki'Allahu Khairan....x

On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said:
Allah (mighty and sublime be He) will say on the Day of Resurrection:
O son of Adam,
I fell ill and you visited Me not.
He will say:
O Lord, and how should I visit You when You are the Lord of the worlds?
Allah will say:
Did you not know that My servant So-and-so had fallen ill and you visited him not?
Did you not know that had you visited him you would have found Me with him?
O son of Adam,
I asked you for food and you fed Me not.
He will say:
O Lord, and how should I feed You when You are the Lord of the worlds?
Allah will say:
Did you not know that My servant So-and-so asked you for food and you fed him not?
Did you not know that had you fed him you would surely have found that (the reward for doing so) with Me?
O son of Adam,
I asked you to give Me to drink and you gave Me not to drink. He will say:
O Lord, how should I give You to drink whin You are the Lord of the worlds?
Allah will say:
My servant So-and-so asked you to give him to drink and you gave him not to drink. Had you given him to drink you would have surely found that with Me.

Sadaqa distribution for March 2012...x

Firstly All Praise belongs to Allah (SWT)
Assalaamu alaykum.

As promised from March I will keep you all updated via my blog instead of email so you can visit in your own time and see exactly where your sadaqa is distributed each month fi sabilIllah.

The following are regular sponsorship.

Your donations for march paid for 2 of our 3 Orphan sponsorships.
As you know our third orphan in Morocco is already paid for a year.

We are also sponsoring a child with a serious blood disorder in India Alhamdulillah.

Our two families in Morocco are very grateful for our contribution as they are now able to pay for regular medication/food needed.

Alhamdulillah we were blessed with the opportunity to contribute towards a New Life Project with Ummah Welfare Trust. A dear sister I know approached me to explain that she needed to raise £700.
As you can see it helped to provide a steel shelter, food, clothing, bedding, a Quran and prayer mat, kitchen and wash set and books etc.

We may only be a small group of sisters Masha'Allah but Allah has given us the opportunity to do so much with so little for His sake alone.

I am still in the process of arranging to support a family in Gaza and have received some donations already Alhamdulillah. As soon as I find out more I will post it here Insha'Allah.

By Allah I have said before, I did not start this blog as a means to show off.
It's purely for Allah's sake that I have to inform you each month exactly where your donations are distributed. Your money is an amaana for me and this is the best way that I feel to show you the blessings of what you give.

I ask Allah (SWT) to accept our humble efforts and continue to put His Barakah and Mercy into this project and make it a means for us to meet with Him with a clean heart, and that He be pleased with us and grant us permission to Enter Jannah Firdous. Ameen.

I leave you with Him alone and any good is from Allah (SWT) and any mistakes are from myself....x

Sadaqa should be given solely out of love for God, out of the desire to do good to His creation, as the Quran says about the righteous:"They give food, out of love for Him (Allah), to the poor, the orphan, and the slave, saying: We feed you only for Allah's pleasure - we desire from you neither reward nor thanks."
(Al-Insaan 76:8-9
