All praise is for Allah alone.

Updated 22nd May 2016.

Alhamdulillah the well is complete.
Pictures will be uploaded tomorrow in sha Allah.

Update 7/12/15

Alhamdulillah we did it. All monies have been raised for this Water Well. Amina has one more well to do then ours will be next bi ihdnIllah.

Jazakum'Allahu Khairan to you all
Update 5/12/15

Alhamdulillah we have £1345 so far from on and offline which the majority has been sent to Amina. Just Giving donations will be sent after 30 days bi ihdnIllah. So, that just leaves £155 remaining Subhan'Allah.

Update 01/12/15

Alhamdulillah we have opened a Just Giving page to help raise the remaining balance for this Water Well.
This will not only benefit Abdal Rahman, it will also benefit all those who give/share and bring ease to a whole community who usually have to travel miles for fresh water.

Inna lilaahi wa Inna ilayhi rajioon.

One of our dear sisters son Abdal Rahman has returned to his Lord at the tender age of just 23.
Today we attended his janazah at the Masjid which was a very sad time Subhan'Allah.

We would like to raise enough to have a Water Well built in his name via Amina at Markoiro Bunda Gambia bi ihdnIllah.
At the moment offline we have £885 with a shortfall of £615.

So far we have also paid for 2 olive trees and a Tube Well and will be sponsoring a Hifdh Orphan all in his name including a whole year of sadaqa to our general commitments.

Please donate via Paypal to mekkaouis@yahoo.com

Special gifts for special people Alhamdulillah

All praise is for Allah alone.

We at Al Huriyah Sadaqa Project love to give gifts, be it small or large.
Below are some recent gifts that we sent out to special sisters. Some going through hardships and some purely to say the we love you.

These are hand made/packed barakah gift packs made by a dear sister on Facebook.
You can see her page here

Alhamdulillah a dear sister we know is going through a huge test at the moment so we thought that the recent event about fighting depression would be a good boost for her and a time to reflect on how and why Allah puts us through such trials.

We also managed to buy a couple of food parcels for families.

Alhamdulillah we also paid for Oumie to travel to Senegal to continue with the treatment needed on her hip

Our bags left London too on their way to Amina in Gambia

From this.....

to this....

And last, but most definitely not the least.

Our dear Sr and friend lost her son very recently whom was only 23 years old Subhan'Allah.
We will bi ihdnIllah endeavor to raise £1500 to build a well in his honour via our dear Amina in Gambia. Markoiro Bunda Gambia are also helping us to raise the funds so that our dear Abdal Rahman may benefit from this and also anyone who donates or even intends to donate fi sabil Illah.
Alhamdulillah so far we have raised just under £400 in a few days but still a way to go.
4 olive trees will also be planted via Muslim Hands
If you would like to plant a tree for Abdal Rahman or for anyone you feel will benefit then please click on the following link direct to Muslim Hands

We will also be sponsoring a Hifdh Orphan on his behalf bi IhdnIllah and have paid for a Tube Well build also

A day in the life of Ahmad and Meryem in Morocco

All praise is for Allah alone.

Alhamdulillah for having our health, for our many blessings that Allah bestows upon us everyday.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wNN7cxNVfxc

On a recent trip to Morocco to see family I had the pleasure of meeting with a few of the recipients of your sadaqa.

Alhamdulillah they are making much dua for you all for giving them a regular income to help pay for much needed medicines.
Also, one of the sisters who is a single Mum lived previously in a shanty town and has now been given an apartment from the government Subhan'Allah.

Below, we also have 2 more families we wish to sponsor and will endeavor to meet their basic needs bi ihdnIllah.

Imagine being in a situation whereby your every need, be it open or private has be met by another. From waking in the morning, to being taken to the lavatory.

This is Ahmad who is the family of my Husband.
Unable to walk, talk properly or doing anything independently, he is totally reliant on his sisters whom, as you can see, have to carry him around.

Because they live on a farm, a wheelchair is not really suitable for them.
Their living conditions are pretty poor so we would like to give them a small, regular income to meet their basic needs bi ihdnIllah.

We also met with 12 year old Meryem and her Mother.

You can just see Marwan in the background too

Meryem also cannot walk, talk or care for herself and is completely reliant on her Mother.
She too needs to be carried around and they also need to pay for nappies etc.

Alhamdulillah whilst there we managed to give them both a small income and for the first time in 2 years Meryem had her much needed therapy.

This is the receipt from the sadaqa

Please do continue with your much needed support so we may give some relief to these two new families bi ihdnillah

It was narrated that Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever gives charity equal to a date from good (halal) earnings – for Allaah does not accept anything but that which is good – Allaah will take it in His right hand and tend it for the one who gave it as any one of you tends his foal, until it becomes like a mountain.”

Support for Marwan and Meryem in Morocco

Assalaamu alaykum wa rahmatulaahi wa barakatu.

The first ten days of Dhu’l-Hijjah:
Days of virtue and righteous deeds
Praise be to Allaah Who has created Time and has made some times better than others, some months and days and nights better than others, when rewards are multiplied many times, as a mercy towards His slaves. This encourages them to do more righteous deeds and makes them more eager to worship Him, so that the Muslim renews his efforts to gain a greater share of reward, prepare himself for death and supply himself in readiness for the Day of Judgement.

As some of you may know, we have been supporting my late brother in laws wife and young son and our dear Meryem whom both reside in Morocco.

They have benefited greatly from your kindness from giving them a regular monthly income so that Marwan and Mum do not have to rely on handouts from others and also buying dear Meryem a special wheelchair, nappies and much needed medicine.

Unfortunately, the previous collections we made for them have almost finished and we would really love to continue with the support.

Because Marwan is now considered an Orphan and they do not have their own property, we are planning to find them a small room to rent bi IhdnIllah to give them a fresh start which will come from this monthly amount.

Also, Meryem needs nappies and medication each month so that they do not have to pay to visit the doctor every two weeks to empty her bowls.

Alhamdulillah we have just sent the sachets which you all paid for below and the special wheelchair that your donations helped to buy.

In order for this to continue, we are asking 100 people to give just £5 fi sabil Illah.
This will give them both a regular income for the next 5 months In sha Allah. Donate via Paypal to mekkaouis@yahoo.com

O you whose hard heart is as dark as the night, is it not time that your heart was filled with light and became soft? Expose yourself to the gentle breeze of your Lord’s mercy during these ten days, for Allaah will cause this breeze to touch whomever He wills, and whoever is touched by it will be happy on the Day of Judgement. May Allaah bless our Prophet Muhammad and all his Family and Companions.

The many virtues of the first 10 days of Dhul Hijjah

Subhan'Allah, may we all be of those whom benefit greatly and who do not miss any opportunity to do good. Remember, Allah knows our intentions. Only He can accept and reward us accordingly, may our good deeds be many, our bad deeds hidden and forgiven through sincere repentance and may He place much barakah and khair into our lives, increase our rizq and reunite us all under His shade, on a Day when the only shade will be with Him. Ameen...
