Rice for Gambia

All Praise belongs to Allah.

Alhamdulillah we have just received the pictures from sr Amina in Gambia for her ''Feed the Village'' project 2014.

Subhan'Allah partly from your donations they were able to buy 115 huge bags of rice to feed the entire village and beyond.

Sadly, some had not eaten for days before this rice arrived and people were even coming from outside to share in the food.

Below are a few of the pictures.

Subhan'Allah, the shop keeper had not sold as much rice in one day in all his 20 years trading.

O you who have believed, let not your wealth and your children divert you from remembrance of Allah . And whoever does that - then those are the losers.

And spend [in the way of Allah ] from what We have provided you before death approaches one of you and he says, "My Lord, if only You would delay me for a brief term so I would give charity and be among the righteous."

But never will Allah delay a soul when its time has come. And Allah is Acquainted with what you do. Surat Al-Munāfiqūn (The Hypocrites) 63:9-11

They are also in the process of collecting donations for the ''Plow and Sow'' project. 

This will buy two bulls and a plough to give the village the means to support themselves Bi ihdnIllah.
