My dear and beautiful Husband of 29 years has returned to his Lord.
May Allah forgive him of any sins, purify him, widen his grave and may He reunite us all in Jannah Firdous. Ameen.
I intend to post some articles on the virtues of the Iddah period, how one can spend this period to maximise their ibadah and make it a means of goodness. Ameen.
There is a lot of goodness to take from this time and I ask Allah alone to guide us to what pleases Him alone, bless us as a family to achieve so much sabr,knowledge and wisdom and to attain His pleasure.
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "When a person dies, all his deeds come to an end except three: sadaqah jaariyah (ongoing charity, e.g. a waqf or endowment), beneficial knowledge (which he has left behind), or a righteous child who will pray for him." (Reported by al-Tirmidhi, no 1376; he said this is a saheeh hasan hadeeth)
