Update 3.8.12
I was approached by a sister who is trying to raise money for an orphanage in Dakar. They are striving to feed 40/50 children during Ramadhan Insha'Allah. We gave a small portion of your sadaqa to this much needed project. These are some of the conditions they are living in below.
You can get more info at the following link.
We also managed to raise £1030 for Ummah Welfare Trust 'Feed a Million' Project, to help feed a Million during Ramadhan and £690 for Syria to try and ease some of their many hardships Subhan'Allah.
All Praise is for Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'Ala.
Without His permission this would not be possible.
Ramadhan Mubarak to you all. Alhamdulillah we have an amazing month with the addition of two new Orphans we are now sponsoring. One in Sudan and another child from Syria Subhan'Allah.
As you may know, this is our 5th Orphan sponsorship and it's such a wonderful feeling, knowing that we can, as an Ummah, help to alleviate some of the hardships that so many are facing on a daily basis. We gathered enough funds to pay for a years sponsorship for both but, this will continue through the years until they are self sufficient Insha'Allah so please keep supporting us with your £1 a week donation on a regular basis to make this possible Insha'Allah.
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “I and the one who sponsors an orphan will be in Paradise like these two” – and he gestured with his forefinger and middle finger, holding them apart. Al-Bukhaari, 5304.
Imagine the honour of being beside The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in Paradise Subhan'Allah. Below is a letter from our dear Orphan Alaa in Gaza, thanking us for the gift of a fridge that we managed to gather enough for last year. Unfortunately being in Gaza, even though they have a lot of needs, this can still take a long time to reach them.
Say, "Indeed, my Lord extends provision for whom He wills of His servants and restricts [it] for him. But whatever thing you spend [in His cause] - He will compensate it; and He is the best of providers." 34:39
We also have our other monthly commitments with two families in Morocco whom have very little in way of income, both are on medication which they are now able to purchase each month knowing that this will continue for them for as long as they need it.
The sister with cancer in Gaza is also taken care of a s much as possible with your kind donations Alhamdulillah, and also a child in India is happy knowing that we are paying for them to have a much needed blood transfusion.
We managed to distribute our first ever Ramadhan food packs in this beautiful month on fasting 'Ramadhan'. I have added just a few pictures of some of the recipients Masha'Allah. I was told that the children were so happy they were running to pick the bags as they were delivered.

Unfortunately there are so many families in need all over the world, with your donation of just £1 a week, we can help bring some relief to families who may not have the opportunity to receive support.
At Al-Huriyah Sadaqa we prefer if possible not to just give donations of money as this can be spent so easily without any benefit, so we have invested in two income generating projects.
We recently paid for a rickshaw for a brother in the Phillipines via Ummah Welfare Trust and also for a small business start up for a sister. This will allow them to earn their own wage, without having to rely on others.
It is better that a person should take a rope and bring a bundle of wood on his back to sell so that Allah may preserve his honour, than that he should beg from people (regardless of whether they give to him or refuse him.’ Sahih Al-Bukari
A small portion of your sadaqa went to the 'Feed a Million in Ramadhan' project and lastly but not least, also a portion went to Solace for revert sisters in difficulty. They are doing an amazing job in supporting revert sisters going through so many tests and trials, without the support of family members. Please visit the site and donate to help them achieve their aims. www.solaceuk.org
Jazaki'Illah Khairan to all of you for your continued support fi sabilIllah. Please make others aware of our work and encourage them to give so that we may help so many more who may have no access to even the basic of needs.
Sahih International
Righteousness is not that you turn your faces toward the east or the west, but [true] righteousness is [in] one who believes in Allah , the Last Day, the angels, the Book, and the prophets and gives wealth, in spite of love for it, to relatives, orphans, the needy, the traveler, those who ask [for help], and for freeing slaves; [and who] establishes prayer and gives zakah; [those who] fulfill their promise when they promise; and [those who] are patient in poverty and hardship and during battle. Those are the ones who have been true, and it is those who are the righteous. 2:177.
Fi amanIllah...x
