Update 27/12/12 10.08pm.
Masha'Allah, Tabarak'Allah £230 already in just an hour. May Allah reward all those who have given so far and may He accept it from all of us. Ameen

We have been approached by some dear sisters who are trying to raise funds for a family in Algeria. They are not only living in dire conditions but sadly the Mother has breast cancer and the Father has a heart condition. Subhan'Allah if you look at the pictures below and see just how difficult a situation they are in.
There are 10 people living in the house with just one small window and they have a serious problem with damp. They are currently looking after another family members children as the father fell from a 4th floor window and died. The inside of the house is in need of some serious help and also they live on a hill which has a steep slope and a ravine at the bottom. We can only imagine how tough these conditions are and also with the added worry living on a steep hill.

BEFORE

We can see the extent of the damp all over. Even at the head of their beds.

They are also trying to raise enough to buy the family a much needed fridge as you can see below they are in need of one asap

Imagine having old wooden doors as your walls, imagine just how cold and drafty this is.

And also how steep the hill is just a yard from their door.

Beds are needed too

Bedding is all ripped and worn

A decent table is needed so they have somewhere clean to share and prepare food

This is the medication that the family need each month, all this has to be paid for aswell as needing so much more basic items. We have so much in our homes that we do not use while some have literally nothing.

3:92

Never will you attain the good [reward] until you spend [in the way of Allah ] from that which you love. And whatever you spend - indeed, Allah is Knowing of it. 3:92

By Allah, I know I have probably said this in my other posts but I cannot stress enough how important it is to help those who need it. A brother will be travelling to Algeria in January so I am urging you to please give as much as your able. Let's stop wasting our time and our money rushing off to the sales buying things we want, not what we need, and then never using it anyway. The shops and media etc use many tricks and tactics to convince you that you are getting a bargain when really and truly you are not. Why not give something up to help those living in dire conditions. These pictures are real and where not copied and pasted from Google. This is a stark reality for so many families all over the world. We are fortunate enough to be in a position to do something bi ihdnIllah. Even though it may be small to start off with your donations we can help this family have a better safer home. Remember the parents are both ill too so this is a stress and a strain each month finding money for medication let alone caring for the children and providing food and decent shelter for them.

2:215

They ask you, [O Muhammad], what they should spend. Say, "Whatever you spend of good is [to be] for parents and relatives and orphans and the needy and the traveler. And whatever you do of good - indeed, Allah is Knowing of it." 2:215

Please do encourage friends and family to give too so that we may give some dignity back to this family who need help. Jazak'Allahu Khairan for reading...x

                                         AND AFTER ALHAMDULILLAH

Subhan'Allah when you see the difference your donations make to someone else's life it makes you wonder just how much we take for granted. May Allah accept the efforts of all involved and may He allow us to continue with the little that we are doing for His sake. Ameen

Aid Convoy's 1000 blankets for Syria.

All Praise is for Allah alone without His divine Wisdom and Mercy we cannot succeed.

In Support of

Aid Convoy is a registered charity which started a project to buy blankets for our brothers and sisters in Syria. Each blanket costs just £6 so we decided to help generate much needed funds.
We set ourselves a small challenge to encourage as many people to give as much as possible to raise awareness to their plight. The response was amazing and still, Alhamdulillah offers are still coming in. Please share their links with all your contacts in as many places as you can fi sabil Illah.
Subhan'Allah we managed (with Allah's permission) to raise an amazing £2306 so far which is enough to buy 384 blankets. £545 was donated to the Aid Convoy bank, £1110 Islamic BT donate page generating an amazing £277.50 gift aid and the rest was donated via the individuals  from our challenge.

Below is some pictures taken from their Facebook page to see just how much effort they have made so far Subhan'Allah.

Also they have some events planned to help raise funds for up coming projects too. Below are the posters for this. Please attend if you are able and also encourage all you family and friends to give too. We could never really imagine just how difficult the situation is for so many of our brothers and sisters from all over the world and it's so important to thank Allah every single day that you are guided and that you are not in these harsh conditions. Who know's, but Allah if we were in this way would we be strong enough to remain steadfast, to keep our Eeman high Subhan'Allah.

Update 13-12-12

Alhamdulillah we have so far managed to raise enough for 248 blankets so far. Please keep giving for Allah's sake to give some comfort to our brothers and sisters.

As some of you may know Aid Convoy is working hard to help our brothers and sisters in Syria who may have either no home or very little amenities. One of their projects is to raise enough to supply them with blankets to at least try to keep them warm in these freezing conditions. The target is 1000 blankets and they cost only £6 each and these will be hand delivered by Aid Convoy so you can be sure your donations goes to the correct need. They guarantee 100% donation policy and all those involved are un paid workers.
So far we at Al-Huriyah  have managed to raise and donate £1002 which will help them buy 167 blankets Alhamdulillah but, as you know, this is not enough.
Please give as much as your able and encourage others to join you fi sabil Illah.

You can donate via any of the links below

https://mydonate.bt.com/events/1000blankets

These are not the actual blankets.

This is before the bombings

And this is now Subhan'Allah

your £6 can help keep someone warm bringing them a little comfort whilst facing such harsh conditions

That's all it takes.

Please give as much as your able for Allah's sake.

As an Ummah we have become so comfortable, especially living in the West, the horrors that our brothers and sisters are facing on a daily basis is something we can not even imagine. Yes we see the many videos and pictures but charities like Aid Convoy etc are seeing the reality first hand. Making dua for them is not the least we can do as some people seem th think, that is the best we can do as Allah is the only one who can help them and give them ease and comfort. I would say that donating is one of the least things we can do. When we have wealth it's very easy to be generous, making dua is worth more to anyone than wealth. But at least by supplying them with blankets this will give them some comfort.

I ask Allah to facilitate the needs of all the oppressed from all corners of the world, reward all those involved in these projects, may He answer their duas, give them patience, guidance and above all make them content with His decree as only He knows the wisdom behind All affairs. Ameen.

Sadaqa distribution for October and November 2012

Update 01/12/12

Please help 9 year old Muhammad from Leicester. He has a rare form of bone cancer called Ewing's Sarcoma. Treatment in the UK is limited so they need to raise enough to take Muhammad to America. A small part of your sadaqa donations was given to this very worthy cause. Please visit the link below to give any amount you are able.Imagine if we were in the shoes of his parents, what would we be doing?

Update 29/11/12

We have, for the past two months been sending a small part of the sadaqa to the following link

Abu Taubah was arrested during Ramadhan last year and he is still incarcerated. They have set up a fund to help support his family. Please visist the link and give via Paypal as much or as little as you are able fi sabilIllah.

Update 26/11/12

We have been approached by a sr I have known and trust for some years. She has asked if we can help in any way to raise funds for a sr who has heart problems and her arteries are closing and she needs an operation for this. Also, her Husband was the bread winner but he has been diagnosed with throat cancer so cannot now work and they have children. By joining us for just £1 a week, you can help pay towards this sisters operation and/or their every day needs. All it takes is for you to take just £1 a week from your income and set it aside and donate the £4 every month. By Allah what do we spend our £1's on now. We waste so much on Duniya material things when this £1 could be all we need to tip the scales for the good of us, this £1 could be a means to cure the sister of her disease Insha'Allah.
Only Allah knows each of our intentions and we do this purely for His sake, helping others is part of our deen. We never know when we may be in a similar situation, so please join us for a small sum of £1 a week.

Assalaamu alaykum,

As we all know, our brothers and sisters in Gaza are once again under attack. We at Al-Huriyah Sadaqa are striving to raise as much as possible to try and alleviate some of their stresses. We have opened another Just Giving page in support of Ummah Welfare Trust as they guarantee 100% donation policy so you can be assured that every penny you donate is distributed to those who need it, not those who do not.
Please visit our page to donate and please share with all.
Copy and paste the following link in your browser.

As per usual our monthly recipients are cared for firstly. Alhamdulillah we have our 5 Orphans to spend on each month, two needy families in Morocco and the sister in Palestine with cancer. We now have another sister in Morocco who we have decided to help on a monthly basis as she is a widow and has 2 children. They live  in a shanty town and the sister works as a cleaner to try and provide for her children but, as you can imagine this does not generate much of an income so we will supporting her for as long as it takes to take some of the burden from her shoulders bi ihdnIllah.

We also raised enough to purchase 130 blankets for those in need in Lucknow in India. The first batch was distributed last week via www.sanaids.org. This was set up by a dear family I know who lost their daughter/sister a few years ago.

Part of your donations also went to the new school build in Bangladesh. We are trying to give them a regular income to help support the build and to meet the needs of the ever expanding list of pupils who have no means to pay for schooling otherwise.

Another new family is also in need of our help so please join us and donate just £1 a week or £4 a month to help us help those who have no other means of regular support. Just £1 a week is all it takes to make this possible. This new project is a sister living in Gambia, which I will add more info as soon as I have any on her current need so please watch this space.

We have paid for e revert sister in difficulty to attend a two day Islamic seminar as a form of sadaqa jariyah for us all Alhamdulillah. This was done via   www.solaceuk.org.  The courses are very good and remember you will get the reward for the good she takes from it.

We have another Just Giving page that we donate to from your sadaqa as we are trying to raise £2500 to build a well in Yemen. Some cities are struggling to find clean water and the women have to travel far to get it.
You can visit the page below and donate there too and any money raised goes straight to Human Appeal International. Although it is a slow process we will leave the page open for as long as it takes Insha'Allah.

We were fortunate enough to give a small amount to the Aid Convoy going to Syria in December Insha'Allah  and will also be collecting clothes which they will sell on to raise much needed funds for vital equipment. Please remember all the oppressed and all the helpers of good in your duas as they work very hard in making these trips possible bi ihdnIllah.
They are also in Syria at the moment delivering much needed aid and are raising funds for 1000 blankets at just £6 each. We donated enough for 5 blankets at the moment although many more are needed. Please visit the site for donation details at

Sister Nabeela has opened a Just Giving page to raise funds in behalf of The National Zakat Foundation. They help those in the UK who could be homeless, poor, refugee, in debt or suffering domestic violence amongst other worthy causes. So a small part of your sadaqa went to this page. Please copy and paste the link below to donate and help Nabeela reach her £250 target.

2:245

Who is it that would loan Allah a goodly loan so He may multiply it for him many times over? And it is Allah who withholds and grants abundance, and to Him you will be returned. 2:245

Join us now for just £1 a week to give back to those who are in such dire need that we can only imagine just how difficult it must be. If we are fortunate to have a clean home, warmth food and well being them Alhamdulillah for everything that Allah gives us, but please lets think about those who can only wish and dream.

These are the three Just Giving pages we have active at the moment.

http://www.justgiving.com/Al-Huriyah1    For Burma and Syria

http://www.justgiving.com/Al-Huriyah5    For a Deep Water well in Yemen

Any money donated to our Just Giving pages go directly to the said charity. We try to donate a little to each page once a month so that we may all gain the maximum reward for our sadaqa donations....x

A blanket for just £1.50.

Update 21-04-13
This is my dear friend/sr's parents presenting the families with the blankets that your donations paid for Alhamdulillah.

Update 15th Nov 2012.

Jazak'Allah Khair to all who donated to the blanket project. Alhamdulillah as you know we raised enough for 100 so far. Please note: the first batch of blankets have been distributed this week Alhamdulillah, anymore donations received from now on will be set aside for the next batch. I don't know exactly when that will be so please be aware when donating.

Update 12th November 2012.

Alhamdulillah so have we have purchased 100 blankets that are being distributed this week. Some have been given out already as the weather in Lucknow in India is very cold and will be even colder in Dec/Jan. These blankets are given mainly to the elderly and children who are poverty stricken Subhan'Allah. A simple blanket can keep them warm, all the while you are being made dua for from those recipients, and Allah is rewarding you for giving for His sake.

£1.50 each Subhan'Allah that's all you need to give to keep a poor person warm this winter.

This is an picture from India this week, imagine having no heating or warm clothes or blankets etc. Please donate just £1.50 above and we will have them distributed to the most needy Insha'Allah..

All Praise is for Allah alone.

Now that the days are getting shorter and colder, please remember those who have no real home let alone central heating. Yes our gas charges may be rising, and things are becoming tougher by the day. But at least we are fortunate enough to have the things we do. Having a real roof over our head is a blessing from Allah.

The above charity was set up by a very dear family I know after losing their daughter/sister to cancer in 2007 aged just 22.
By donating just £1.50 via Paypal above this will enable them to purchase a blanket on your behalf and distribute it to those who are in need in Lucknow, India.
What can we really buy here now for £1.50? Nothing much at all, but we could help to keep someone warm during the winter months approaching.
Please do give whatever amount you are able fi sabilIllah as we never know where the good lies in what we do so please don't miss this chance.

£1 for 10 days for a widow in Morocco...x

Update 29/11/12

Alhamdulillah we are now in a position to help this sister from Morocco on a regular monthly basis. As I mentioned, she has a small cleaning job but barely makes enough to support herself and children. Please continue to give as regular as you are able so we can keep this ongoing as long as possible bi ihdnIllah.
May Allah reward you all for helping us support the people that we do fi sabilIllah.

Firstly All Praise is for Allah The Most Merciful the Most Kind. Without His permission our efforts are not possible.

As we all know, tomorrow (Wed 17th Oct) will be the start of the most blessed 10 days of the year Insha'Allah.
We are each giving just £1 a day throughout these 10 special days, to give a widowed sister some relief from the hardship she is facing.

Among the special seasons of worship are the first ten days of Dhu’l-Hijjah, which Allaah has preferred over all the other days of the year. Ibn ‘Abbaas (may Allaah be pleased with him and his father) reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "There are no days in which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allaah than these ten days." The people asked, "Not even jihaad for the sake of Allaah?" He said, "Not even jihaad for the sake of Allaah, except in the case of a man who went out to fight giving himself and his wealth up for the cause, and came back with nothing." (Reported by al-Bukhaari, 2/457).

Allah has blessed us with so many provisions that we sometimes fail to appreciate them. Alhamdulillah we have food, clean water, heating and electric amongst many other everyday things. We may see pictures of many families in need all over the world and feel sorry for them but do we really make an effort to try and change their lives. Imagine the hardship of having children and not knowing when or how we will provide the basic needs for them. Having no food to make breakfast when they awake, let alone lunch and dinner Subhan'Allah. We know of a widowed sister in Morocco who has 3 children to care and provide for since the death of her Husband approximately 2 years ago. They live in a shanty town and have  very little help from others. The sister cleans houses to make a minimal amount to survive. With the winter months fast approaching and we are able to turn on our luxurious central heating, they will be spending the winter months in a small wooden/tin hut for a house. Alhamdulillah they at least have this but imagine how cold it must be, how unsafe for a Mother to live in this situation. How hard it must be to not have enough food to provide for your family.
Please join us and give as much as your able for Allah's sake and lets help give them a special Eid, and a life where they will not have to rely on handouts from others and a life of security, knowing there are others out there who truly care for each other. Please make your sincere intention and click on donate today. I say today as we do not know if we will survive to see tomorrow. Let's not miss out on an opportunity to do good for His sake.

This is not the real picture but as similar as I can get until I get some pictures of the sisters situation as soon as possible Insha'Allah

"So whosoever does good equal to the weight of an atom, shall see it,
And whosoever does evil equal to the weight of an atom, shall see it."
[al-Zalzalah 99:7-8]

There is much to be gained, so make the most of the opportunity afforded by these invaluable and irreplaceable ten days. Hasten to do good works, before death strikes, before one can regret one’s negligence and failure to act, before one is asked to return to a place where no prayers will be answered, before death intervenes between the hopeful one and the things he hopes for, before you are trapped with your deeds in the grave.
O you whose hard heart is as dark as the night, is it not time that your heart was filled with light and became soft? Expose yourself to the gentle breeze of your Lord’s mercy during these ten days, for Allaah will cause this breeze to touch whomever He wills, and whoever is touched by it will be happy on the Day of Judgement. May Allaah bless our Prophet Muhammad and all his Family and Companions.

Sadaqa distribution for September 2012...x

All praise is for Allah The Most Forgiving The Most Merciful.

Alhamdulillah we now have the report on our latest Orphan in Sudan. Her name is Esra and she is 12 years old.

Masha'Allah tabarak'Allah we are so blessed to have the opportunity to sponsor another Orphan, please continue to donate on a regular basis so we may continue to support Esra and her family until she is self sufficient Insha'Allah.

Righteousness is not that you turn your faces toward the east or the west, but [true] righteousness is [in] one who believes in Allah , the Last Day, the angels, the Book, and the prophets and gives wealth, in spite of love for it, to relatives, orphans, the needy, the traveler, those who ask [for help], and for freeing slaves; [and who] establishes prayer and gives zakah; [those who] fulfill their promise when they promise; and [those who] are patient in poverty and hardship and during battle. Those are the ones who have been true, and it is those who are the righteous. 2:177

As you know we have been sponsoring Muhammed and Alaa from Gaza since 2010 so our first priority is to them and our other Orphans, the two needy families in Morocco and the Palestinian sister with cancer.

We will also be donating a monthly amount to the new school build in Bangladesh Insha'Allah.

We are also in the process of raising funds for another deep water well. This one will be in Yemen Insha'Allah. You can donate directly to Human Appeal International on my Just Giving page here:

I was asked by a dear sister of mine to help raise funds for a sister living in Saudi Arabia. She has water on the Lungs and has no means to pay for the treatment needed. Unless you are a Saudi citizen then your treatment has to be paid for, and to make matters worse, they will not treat the sister until she pays for it, which is around £830.So far Alhamdulillah we have £180 but need to raise the rest as soon as possible. Please click on donate at the top of the page and give whatever is within your means fi sabilIllah.

http://solaceuk.org/      is another organisation close to my heart. They provide a service to help revert sisters who are facing hardship in many ways. We always try to give a small amount to them each month to help where most needed.

I am adding these two short videos again to give us all a boost. To learn an important lesson that giving is much better than taking. Not just with money but with your time, possessions and wisdom.

The Prophet (pbuh) said, “Every Muslim has to give in charity.” The people asked,
“O Allah’s Prophet! If someone has nothing to give, what will he do?” He said, “He
should work with his hands and benefit himself and also give in charity (from what
he earns).” The people further asked, “If he cannot find even that?” He replied,
“He should help the needy who appeal for help.” Then the people asked, “If he
cannot do that?” He replied, “Then he should perform good deeds and keep away
from evil deeds and this will be regarded as charitable deeds.” (Bukhari #2.524)

May Allah reward you all for your continuous support to help us to help those who need it fi sabilIllah.

Fi amanIllah...x
